I will admit i am a boruto hater becuase i feel the writing is a bit weak but the kurama thing is if my memory is right a well known fact that since the tailed beast are chakra if they die or whatever they will appear again somewhere although i was looking for a damn good explanation of why he appeared in himawari but whateves and atleast he potential of surpassing naruto makes sense to me sonce she is a mix of uzumaki and hyuga plus the uzumaki clan is relitaves of the senju so even tho im hating i do hope her character is done right moving forward.

My Take is this is a different kurama but has some (if not all) of the memories of the past kurama. The baryon mode did consume the chakra and essence of naruto kurama into nothing, however, the kurama chakra imbued to himawari served as an enough and new essence wherein chakra and natural energy gravitated towards to reform another kurama. This process is catalyzed by the fact that she's an uzumaki + hyuga (not to mention that naruto is an ashura reincarnate then hinata received hamura chakra)
